6/1 2007 Yeah, we're back...

Uffe took his hired car and is now on his way back to Växjö.
He came to Hälleforsnäs yesterday and we had a good time inside as well as outside the rehearsing studio. We are not as young as we were in the nineties and we don't really want to party as hard as we did back then, but singing and playing hard rock tunes with a hangover feels about the same as it did back then. It hurts. Uffe got cramps in his hand and I got a screaming headache. Apart from that we felt fine and we are really happy about the fact that we still know how to make music. We played a couple of brand new tunes (Hollow People, A Part of You is Part of Me Now) and many old songs; I Will Kill You, Molotov, Holy Cow, Face Like Yours, Hollywood, Junkfood... Playing the fastest tunes felt a bit silly (fun but silly) but playing tunes like Molotov and I Will Kill You felt pretty good.

5/8 2006 The trio back together?

Uffe was passing by Hälleforsnäs and visited his old band chums Pasi and Jarmo on Friday. The guys visited the rehearsing studio
and talked about old times. It was not planned, but the guys picked up their instruments and started to play together, for the first time since 1999 or something like that. The guys were seen later that evening with a big smile on their faces, planning studio sessions and live gigs. "I'd guess it sounded terrible; but from the first measures we knew that we've found home again," the guys announced. "We really enjoy playing together so we decided to start playing again. Uffe lives in Växjö. That is pretty far away from the rehearsal room so we don't know how often we can meet, but we don't care about it for the moment. We just know that we want to play together," Pasi and Jarmo tell us.

17/7 2006 In studio for the first time in years

Pasi and Jarmo went to the studio last weekend to record some new tunes. They let the record player go while improvising new stuff. Among some silly tunes you can also find some pretty nice new tunes on the tape. For the first time in years Jarmo played with his sunburst Yamaha SG2000S electric guitar and even fired up his old Hiwatt amplifier.
Nostalgia.

15/6 2006 The entire site under renovation

Several years
have gone since the last update on the Official The Soul Preachers website. Now, when the 1993 album "Mono Sapiens' 16 Frog Vomits" is finally released as a CD (we changed the 16 to 17 so we can tell the difference) I decided to spend a few days by updating this site as well. The URL is new as well. Right.
